She brought a friend to the meeting, but she had her doubts about the offer because Virgin Records was the only record label she was familiar with. Around this time, Adele and Ricsta worked together on “Be Divine,” a track that was deemed “electronic club-ready.” Jonathan Dickins at September Management was introduced to Adele by Nick Huggett at XL, and in June 2006, Dickins was appointed as her legal agent. Adele, a big fan of the British singer-songwriter, was drawn to September because he was managing Jamie T at the time. In September 2006, Huggett signed Adele to XL Recordings.
