White, Tune, Entrekin, P.C. was created in 1978 by three renowned attorneys in Nashville: Thomas V. White, Ervin M. Entrekin, and John C. Tune, who died in 1983. John Tune was a very involved member of the Nashville community and served on a number of association boards.

Over time, Tune held the positions of President of the American Cancer Society, Chairman of the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank, and President of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.

In recognition of his illustrious career and contributions to the Nashville community, the John C. Tune Nashville Airport and the Nashville Bar Association Community Service Award were both given his name.

These three legal experts have significantly influenced the legal profession in Tennessee and Nashville as a whole. Currently, 14 of the firm's attorneys are actively practicing law, mostly in Middle Tennessee.
