Listen Up! Music is a non-profit morning program and music studio in Portland, Maine, that assists adult artists with intellectual difficulties in composing music.

Listen Up! was founded in 2012 and allows musicians to work on creating, arranging, recording, performing, and selling their music to the local music community and beyond.

Listen Up! works with musicians of various technical abilities and skill levels to establish a musical community focused on innovation, excitement, joy, and inclusivity.

The musicians earn 50% of CD sales, with the remaining 50% going toward program administration and purchasing new instruments and equipment.

Listen Up studio now has multiple computer recording setups, electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards, two pianos, amps, drums, percussion, woodwinds, brass, steel drums, and more instruments for their players to practice with.

They have composed music in every genre possible (and some of their own! ) and performed in small and large venues across Portland.

Listen Up! Music is constantly looking for working musical instruments and equipment to rent or donate, as well as visiting musicians who want to volunteer or give a class.
