The Castle Recording Studios

• Before The Castle Recording Studios became a proper studio as we know it today, a “lot” has happened in its over 90-year-old history. In a VERY (x10) brief summary, Chicago mobster and bookie, John P. Welch, built it circa 1929 as um … a “hideout and resting spot”. 

End of story.

Sound Emporium Studios

• The story of Sound Emporium Studios isn’t complete without a brief throwback; 50+ years all the way back to 1969. Built by Jack Clement ( aka Cowboy Jack), the studio was formerly known as Jack Clement Recording Studios (JCRS).
